I used a Canon digital SLR, which I just got and am learning my way around. I set most of the pics for a low resolution and the celeb ones for a higher resolution, though it's all reduced to the same size for the post.
My former camera, which I still kept, is a Nikon SLR, which was wonderful, except I have to admit that the crisp quality of hi res photos with my digital is impressive. I've done some text photography to test it, and am able to read minute print.
Part of the reason I went to digital was the resolution, mainly as it appears on a computer screen (which looks better with digital, IMO) but also the immediacy of prints. I got tired of hauling 10 rolls and paying for images I didn't want.
I used the built-in flash instead of a fill flash simply because I did not want to lug around the extra weight of the latter. It was purely a matter of deciding whether it was more important to me to be comfortable moving lightly on my feet all day and take some decent photos for fannish perving purposes, or be semi-pro and miserable with equiptment. Of course I chose the latter for such an event. *grins*
A lot of the pros refused to take phots in the halls, and the SCI FI booth really pissed them off.
With that voice and accent, I think Jamie Bamber should record audio books with titles such as Stay the Night. And why did you have to bring up size differences? He's much smaller than Helo, and I realllly don't need to be thinking about that. *cries*
