Actually, it's the way I wish they had done Troy. If something is being told as legend (Miller kept to the factual events, but his telling of stories is always stylized), as Homer obviously did with the Illiad, then the aspects of it that endure through the ages are what would appeal to a movie going audience. The larger than life elements. With something like Kingdom of Heaven, in contrast, I would expect a very real-life based dramatizaiton.
